To celebrate my 20th physical release, I'm giving away copies my latest solo album,
One & Only — for FREE!
Just cover the five bucks for shipping, and I'll send a shiny new CD right to your door ...
"Matt Riggle isn’t just a hidden gem, he’s an entire lost artifact and definitely worth a listen 🙏"
— Austin Jurgena
“It's new, but nostalgic. It tastes like teenage angst with notes of adult self-awareness. Raw, but so cleanly produced. I don’t know what it is, but this is my kind of music."
- fou_rfour
"Your music is rad... I wish you the best, and I hope you go to hell for making me have to track down a cd player in the year 2025 😉
- Justin Saint Jean
A real CD — with handwritten lyrics printed inside
30 minutes of melody-driven, punk-rooted songs — made with acoustic instruments and a slight chip on the shoulder 🗣️
Instant download access (WAV + MP3)
All for $0 — just $5.99 shipping
Just so you know: the $5.99 covers the envelope + postage . The CD’s on me. I’ve made peace with the fact that this isn’t a great business plan.
Why would I buy a bunch of CDs to give away when I could just plop it all on streaming? Fair question.
Flash back to the mid-'90s, and you'd find me and my first band sheepishly roaming the mall, handing out free tapes to anyone who "looked cool." "Wanna ... uh ... check out some music?" Awkward as hell, but strangely it worked.
Fast forward to now, and I’m still drawn to that idea — connecting directly with those few who might actually "get" what I’m dishing out.
This ain't the mall, but still:
One and Only is my 20th (!) physical release as a musician. With fresh studio tracks alongside new live recordings, this album has both the raw, stripped-down-ness and the fully-fleshed-with-polish-ness that I've been aiming for in recent years.
As for the CD ...
Streaming’s nice and all, but nothing beats ripping into a personalized, hand-stuffed, non-Amazonian package from someone who likes you. (Plus, there are a few bonus tracks that won’t hit Spotify.)
So if you’re in, I’ll stuff one in an envelope and get it headed your way.
If you’re still scrollin', here’s the short version — straight from me to you.
No hype, no pitch voice. Just me explaining what this is and what happens when you grab one.
“Riggle demonstrates an uncommon degree of self-awareness and introspection in his lyrics.”
- Ft. Worth Weekly
“In the vein of Beach Boys, Green Day and Violent Femmes, yet unique…"
- Harder Beat
"Enough to make you remember why punk rock is still important."

"HUH? You're gonna mail me WHAT??"
– You, Probably
"I listened to 'One and Only' many times today. I continue to think of it as a very deep mine of wisdom. And the production really pumps. Weird thing is if you were just to read the words, it might seem negative: my whole world crashing down, fell off the deep end, etc. But it doesn't come across as depressing, or anything unduly neurotic. It comes across as something everybody feels. It's like somebody who recognizes things like inevitability and futility, but he is going to try nonetheless. Also, Threatened to give a shit is a really great line. I don't know why, but it is somehow funny and profound at once. So yeah, that song has really been in my head all day."
-John I.
“It’s not often you meet musicians that have talent, love for the scene, and generosity. Matt has all of these qualities. His stage performance and presence brings old school rock melodies back when music was pure. In short, his music makes us forget about today’s troubles even if for a brief time. He is also very generous with supporting other bands on the bill, buying libations for fans, approachable for conversation, and pushing their merch. I know......I’ve seen it in person."
-Chris, The Rusty Nail (Ardmore, PA)
(just help me with $5.99 shipping):
Thanks for being someone who reads and is (maybe?) considering my CD. I like those qualities.
Perhaps you've thought of a question I've not answered? If so, just shoot me a message.
Otherwise, I hope to be shippin' you a package very soon.
Me, frozen in time and gazing up at that fancy order form ...
